YPS Harmony Week

By Emily Ramsay

Story

To celebrate Harmony Week, the YPS Student Voice Team alongside the whole school community will be recognising and embracing the many cultures, languages and traditions that make Australia such a vibrant and diverse place. Harmony Week is a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn about multicultural awareness, show respect for different backgrounds, and celebrate the idea that everyone belongs. We invite students to come to school on Wednesday 18th March dressed in orange to celebrate our rich diversity.

As part of our celebrations, we will also be raising funds to support the important work of the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC). This organisation provides vital support to people seeking asylum, including food, legal assistance, healthcare and education.

We warmly invite families to support our fundraising efforts during Harmony Week. Any contribution, big or small, will help make a meaningful difference to individuals and families in need. Thank you for helping our students learn the importance of compassion, inclusion and supporting our wider community.
